SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, has announced the appointment of actress Vicki Michelle as an Ambassador of the SSAFA Southend Veteran’s Club…

The Veteran’s Club allows local veterans, spouses and family members to meet up and access vital support, whilst enjoying a delicious homemade lunch and a place to socialise. The Essex actress attended the club last week for lunch and met local veterans who attend the weekly club.

Vicki Michelle, SSAFA Ambassador, said: “I’m extremely honoured to have been made Ambassador of SSAFA Southend Veteran’s Club. My lovely Dad fought in the Second World War and I have the utmost respect for our Armed Forces and veteran community. I was so impressed by the club and the work that SSAFA is doing here in Southend – a town that is very special to me.”

Michele Turner-Everett, SSAFA Southend Veterans Club Secretary, commented: “Vicki is a perfect fit for the club and our veterans loved meeting her, we’re delighted that she’s accepted our invite to become an Ambassador and we’re looking forward to having her on board.”

SSAFA Southend Veteran’s Club allows local veterans to have a safe space to socialise and access support, whenever and wherever they need it.
