Southern Water is currently looking for an experienced Process Technician to join the team in Central Sussex area. This is an ideal opportunity for ambitious, resilient and target driven individuals to progress a career in a successful team with opportunities within this field.
The primary purpose for this role is to undertake reactive and planned maintenance of plant and equipment on a daily basis. Other responsibilities will include providing technical expertise to internal and external contractors, managing projects, and carrying out inspections and tests on electrical equipment and assisting in development of other projects.
To be successful you must be educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering and be able to understand and use standard electrical equipment, a relevant ONC qualification is also desirable.
You will able to read and understand technical electrical drawings and have the ability to solve problems.
You will be both adaptable and flexible with excellent communication skills.
You must be self-motivated and work well under pressure. Experience with PLC’s, drives, MCC starters (3 – phase, 415volts) and instrumentation is an advantage.
This role comes with an attractive salary of up to £34,000. A company van will be provided as part of the offer package, therefore a full, clean driving license is essential for this role.
Your working hours would be as follows: Mon-Wed 07.30-16.00 Thurs-Fri 07.30-15.00. Standby rota will be required 1 in 7 weeks (in line with company rota).
