It is with immense pride and admiration that Soldiering On Awards announce the line-up of exceptional finalists for 2025.
Now in their 15th year, these prestigious Awards shine a light on the unwavering spirit of the Armed Forces community, honouring ordinary people who have achieved the extraordinary. Across twelve diverse categories, from Family Values to Business Start-Up and Animal Partnership to Defence Inclusivity, this year’s finalists embody the resilience, humility, and selflessness that define the very best of our society.
Guided by integrity and purpose, Co-Chairs of Judges Lt Gen (Ret’d) Richard Nugee CB CVO CBE and Debra Allcock-Tyler, CEO of the Directory of Social Change, led a distinguished panel in an incredibly tough judging process. From an inspiring field of nominations, they selected 38 outstanding finalists whose courage, compassion, and commitment are nothing short of remarkable.
Our outstanding finalists will be honoured at a special reception in July at the House of Lords, hosted by Awards Patron, the Rt Hon Earl Howe GBE PC. The winners will be revealed at a spectacular black-tie ceremony on Wednesday, 22nd October 2025, at London’s Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel, where broadcasting legend Jeremy Vine will once again act as host.
Members of the public will also have their say, with voting in two categories, Animal Partnership and Inspiration, via www.soldieringon.org from 15th July to 26th August.
The Rt Hon Earl Howe GBE PC, Patron of the Soldiering On Awards, said:
“I am immensely proud to reveal this year’s finalists, individuals, initiatives, and organisations who go above and beyond in service of others. Their quiet strength and total devotion are deeply humbling. These Awards are a chance to give back, to point a national spotlight on those who do not seek recognition but so richly deserve it.”
Minister for Veterans and People, Alistair Carns OBE MC MP, commented:
“These remarkable individuals, projects and organisations exemplify the valuable and lasting contribution of the Armed Forces community. The Soldiering on Awards help to recognise the achievement and selfless commitment of our Service Personnel and Veterans when supporting the nation. Their powerful stories demonstrate what it means to serve our country. They deserve our highest praise.”
Lt Col Ren Kapur MBE, CEO of Soldiering On Awards and Academy, said:
“Every nomination tells a wonderful story of courage, passion, and community. The humility with which these individuals carry their accomplishments is deeply moving. The Soldiering On Awards play a vital role in recognising their efforts and amplifying their voices. Congratulations to all our 2025 finalists, you are the beating heart of our military family and an inspiration to us all.”
