2012 Soldier Challenge: Raise A Glass To Charity Fundraising Offer

Anyone taking part in the 2012 Soldier Challenge on 19 May is in for a celebration treat thanks to an exclusive offer from Vinopolis, London’s premium food and wine tasting destination

All competitors who complete the Soldier Challenge – a test of fitness, fun and logistics taking in up to 35 military themed challenges and check points throughout central London – will receive a discount to enjoy ‘two for one’ on the Vinopolis wine tasting tour.

The Soldier Challenge takes place from an event village in the former international terminal of London Waterloo station, conveniently located further along the South Bank from London Bridge and Borough Market, home to Vinopolis.

Raising money for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, the charity that supports soldiers for life, the Soldier Challenge is a fundraising event testing the planning, fitness and fun of hundreds of teams of competitors. Competitors complete as many of 35 military-themed tasks as possible during a four hour window. Tasks range from checkpoints and drills, to more extreme events such as abseiling down London landmarks and kayaking in the River Thames.

As an extra incentive to all Soldier Challenge participants, Vinopolis is also offering a star prize to the team who raises the most money for the charity. The lucky competitors will win an exclusive invitation to experience the newly revamped Vinopolis wine tour when it re-opens later this year following an extensive refurbishment project.

The ‘two for one’ offer allows all Soldier Challenge participants to enjoy one free place on the Vinopolis wine tour when buying one full price adult ticket. Offer is only valid for tours between 19 and 31 May 2012, and only applies to tours on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. The Soldier Challenge is open to teams of between two and four people. Participants must be aged 14 or over. Entry costs £50 and participants are asked to raise £150 each. Anyone who hits this minimum fundraising target will have £15 of their entry fee refunded back to them.
