Construction begins on new Royal Engineers facilities at Catterick

Construction has begun on new living, working and training facilities at Marne Barracks in Catterick for the 21 Engineer Regiment's relocation from Ripon in 2027. The project includes 205 new accommodation spaces, a workshop, and refurbished buildings, with completion scheduled for end of 2027.

FiMT awards over £350,000 to evaluate Armed Forces casework support

Forces in Mind Trust has awarded £357,574 to SSAFA to evaluate the impact of its Armed Forces Casework Service through a 30-month study with the University of Stirling. The research will examine the economic and social value of casework support, assess changing needs within the Armed Forces community, and provide evidence for improving service delivery.
