Armed Forces Expo Newcastle – Meet The Exhibitors – Gateshead College & Building Heroes

The 10th Armed Forces & Veterans Expo takes place on Thursday May 11 from 09:30 to 12:30 at St James’ Park, Newcastle.

ANYONE from the forces community be they serving personnel, veterans or spouses and partners of both, is welcome to attend.

We continue our look at the exhibitors on the day with a focus on Gateshead College with Building Heroes.

Together with Building Heroes, we are currently running a Street Works course for all Military service leavers (must be within last 3 months of service), Veterans, Reservists and immediate family members (19+) Street Works is a qualification for operatives working to repair or improve roads and highways. This involves the installation, renewal, maintenance, and inspection of underground apparatus including lighting. Training is delivered over 5 consecutive weeks with classroom and practical onsite training activities which upon successful completion will lead to possession of a valid CSCS card and Street Works card.
