Free Discount Vouchers To Celebrate Soldier Challenge ‘Sign Up Saturday’

Thinking about the Soldier Challenge, but still not signed up? It’s time to make the commitment and sign up this weekend to take advantage of FREE discount vouchers for teams who take the plunge on Saturday

Each team who signs up to the Soldier Challenge anytime on Saturday 5 May – Soldier Challenge Sign Up Saturday – will receive a £10 Rat Race Store discount voucher per person on the team. The voucher can be redeemed online at the Rat Race Store at www.ratrace.com.

Promotion ends at midnight on Saturday 5 May 2012. To take advantage, simply sign up a team at www.soldierchallenge.co.uk. The event is open to teams of between two and four people.

The Soldier Challenge is a test of logistics and planning, as well as fitness and fun. During a four hour window on Saturday 19 May 2012 Soldier Challenge participants will set out from Waterloo station’s former international terminal and complete as many of 35 military-themed tasks as possible.

Offering a rare chance to explore normally prohibited areas of London sights such as the Imperial War Museum and Tower of London, the Soldier Challenge is a great way to see more of the Capital. Highlights include abseiling down the front of the Oval cricket ground, kayaking in the River Thames and an obstacle course at the Tower of London, plus many more fun activities such as beer mat flipping.

Adventure sports events specialist, Rat Race, who organise the Soldier Challenge, has a clothing and equipment store at the event village, offering exclusive discounts only available on the day.

Competitors in the Soldier Challenge will set out from Waterloo Station and complete as many of 35 military-themed tasks as possible during a four hour window. Tasks range from checkpoints and drills, to more extreme events such as abseiling down London landmarks and kayaking in the River Thames.

Participants must be aged 14 or over. Entry costs £50 and participants are asked to raise £150 each. Anyone who hits this minimum fundraising target will have £15 of their entry fee refunded back to them. The free discount voucher is only available for individual team members who make and complete their booking on Saturday 5 May 2012.
