Fund Launches Fourth RAF Veteran’s Hub in Scotland

The RAF’s leading welfare charity, the RAF Benevolent Fund has launched its fourth RAF Veteran’s Welfare Hub in collaboration with Montrose Air Station Heritage Museum, the oldest operational airfield in Great Britain.

The new Hub, located in the library of the museum, provides information on the Fund’s welfare support services available to members of the RAF Family including veterans and their families.

Montrose Air Station Heritage Museum joins The Scottish Deer Centre in Fife, Morayvia Aircraft Museum at Forres and the Dumfries and Galloway Aviation Museum in hosting a Veteran’s Welfare Hub on behalf of the Fund.

Gavin Davey, Director for Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Northeast England at the RAF Benevolent Fund said:

“We are delighted to have opened our fourth Veteran’s Welfare Hub in Scotland. Our Hubs exist to inform visitors of the museum about the help available to RAF veterans and their families, enabling them, whether a veteran or not, to spread the word about the RAF Benevolent Fund to their families, and local community, with hopes to reach more RAF veterans in need across Scotland.”
