Jingle Comms Messages Of Support 2018

We are delighted to present the best of this year’s Jingle Comms messages – festive messages for our troops and veterans.

We were once again overwhelmed with messages of support and good will. These are the best of them…thanks for your support.

I am delighted to be backing Pathfinder magazine’s Jingle Comms campaign this year. I know firsthand being away on operations over Christmas is never easy, so this is a great way to let troops know we are thinking of them.

Thinking of all the serving military personal who will be away from family and love ones during the festive season. #supportourtroops

Brian Wood MC

To all serving British service personnel unfortunately deployed away from home for Christmas, many thanks for your service and keep yourselves busy, until you can return to your loved ones.

To my old regiment 1st Battalion, Royal Anglians (The Vikings) on Op Toral in Kabul, Afghanistan. Keep doing what you are doing; see you all safe and sound in April. Now stag on, my beers getting warm!

Captain Alex George, Catterick.

Whilst you’re busy on the Mexeflote, combat support or army boat,

At home, the trees and decs are up and Santa’s doing the rounds on his sleigh on the float.

As towards danger, in your warriors, husky’s, wolfhounds + mastiffs, you enter,

Back home we’re sat in cars stuck in traffic jams, queuing to get into the city centre.

As you fly high in the foreign sky aboard apaches, wildcats, a gazelle or a bell 212,

Remember many family, friends even strangers are home and thinking about you.

Wherever your spending your Christmas, be it on land, in the air or at sea,

Here’s wishing it’s as peaceful, safe and enjoyable as can be.

“Keep Safe, Keep Strong & Keep Smiling”

It’s not just this time of year, Christmas time, but every day our thanks are given and thoughts are given to those serving abroad for our country. It’s more poignant at Christmas being away from your families, therefore extra thanks and consideration are given. Good wishes given also to Veterans who may be encountering hard times. I wish you all a Happy Christmas and best wishes for the coming New Year; happy thoughts for when you return to your families. Stay safe, thinking of you all.

Merry Christmas to all serving personal

Thank you all for your sacrificing your time away from your family, friends and loved ones to protect us all back home in the UK. Being an ex-serving Sapper I know how you all feel about this time of year. The outstanding job you are all doing is second to none. You are not forgotten, my family and friends always toast the serving personal every year to say thank you.

I wish you all and your family a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year wherever in the world you may be, and that you will be celebrating with your family, friends and loved ones on your return home to the UK.

To All my Brothers and Sisters out there working hard and away from home this Christmas, stay safe, and get yourselves home soon. Your families and friends miss you and love you, we’re all proud of you for your sacrifice.

Best wishes and a merry Christmas

Glynn Alner

(Former RM Commando)

Any time away from your loved ones is tough, but especially so at Christmas. As the daughter of a soldier I know that too well – and there was no Facetime or Skype available to me then. I relied on the old-fashioned blue airmail letters which I remember once sneaking a quality street toffee into it for my dad !

Thank you for giving up this precious time and hope that you enjoy your moments when you return home to family and friends. And that they’ve saved you a toffee, or whatever your Christmas favourites are!”

Kerry Saunders

Wishing you all a very merry Christmas. Thinking of those away from family and friends and thanking you all for everything you do and all you sacrifice for us. Thank you

Rachel Crosbie

As ever I’d like to add my thanks and support to our troops both in general for their service throughout 2018 and those specifically away on operations over the Christmas period. I have been away myself on operations in my time with the RAF and it is never easy to be away from loved ones over this time. However, we are all thinking of you and thanks for your service.

I’d also like to pass on my thoughts those veterans who are facing up to hard times over the festive period in 2018. A problem shared is a problem halved, so please talk about your problems and let’s get them sorted once and for all.

All the best,

Mal Robinson, Editor, Pathfinder.
