Military Housing Charity Honoured

Stoll has been awarded the Ministry of Defence’s Gold Employer Recognition Scheme Award, the highest badge of honour for employers who actively support the Armed Forces community in their workplace…

As one of just 50 Gold Award winning organisations across the UK, it is acknowledgement of Stoll’s  efforts to go above and beyond in supporting the Armed Forces community.

Stoll continues to engage with the Career Transition Partnership to promote the recruitment of service leavers and actively supports reservists in employment. Stoll pledged its continued support to Servicemen and women by re-signing the Armed Forces Covenant last year.

Charlotte Howes, an Executive Officer at Stoll and a Naval Reservist, said: “I’ve worked at Stoll for over a year and have been a reservist with the Royal Navy Reserve throughout this time. Stoll has been incredibly supportive of this and are very accommodating with any time I request off in order to fulfil my duties as a reservist.

“My line manager has also attended employer engagement events with me and has visited our base, HMS President, where we carry out weekly training nights.”

Chief Executive, Ed Tytherleigh, said: “It’s an honour to be among this year’s Gold Award winners. We’re proud of our continued commitment to the Armed Forces community and we look forward to doing more great work together in the future.

“As one of the first charities to ever receive the award, it’s an important stamp of approval that demonstrates that  supporting the Armed Forces community continues to be at the heart of our day-to-day operations.”
