New research into the education of Service children with additional needs

A new study at Oxford Brookes University is already starting to provide much-needed evidence about the educational experiences and outcomes of Service children with additional needs and/or disability.

Funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust under the MOD Armed Forces Family Fund Research Grant programme, the Supporting All to Thrive project is investigating what is working and not working for Service families trying to navigate the SEN(D) system. The study has three strands:

Lead researcher, Dr Claire Lee, says:

“This research is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference for Service children with additional needs. We need as many families as possible to share their experiences through our survey. Every single response helps us understand the challenges families face and what is working well for the children who are thriving.”
