Pathfinder International Editor, Mal Robinson, recently caught up with a 99-year old former Royal Marine for an interview to be published in the magazine at a later date.
Former Marine, Sergeant Ernie Searling of Bushey, Herts, will feature inside a forthcoming issue, with Mal Robinson adding it was an honour to be in his company.
Robinson said: “We are looking at new content for the magazine and when we had the chance to interview and speak to Ernie, it was a no brainer. I was privileged to be in his company, the word legend is often overused in today’s society, but Ernie is a living legend. A remarkable man, he literally saw the world over in World War II and did battle with both the Japanese and Germans! It was an interview, I shall never forget.”
Keep checking the Pathfinder website and social media to see when you can read Ernie’s story.
