Research exploring the digital needs of UK veterans

0

King’s College London is conducting new research to examine the digital needs of UK veterans and the barriers they may face in accessing online services.

The study will investigate how former members of the Armed Forces use digital technology to access healthcare, social services, and support networks. Researchers are particularly interested in challenges such as limited access to devices, unreliable internet connections, or difficulties using digital tools.

Participation is open to all former UK Armed Forces personnel aged 18 or over who are currently living in the UK. Carers and family members are also able to complete the survey on behalf of a veteran.

The research team hopes that the findings will help inform future policy and initiatives to improve digital inclusion for veterans, ensuring they are not disadvantaged when accessing essential services.

Participants are asked to complete an anonymous online questionnaire, which takes around 10 to 15 minutes. Questions cover military service history, general health, digital access, and the types of challenges encountered.

Responses will remain confidential and will only be used for the purposes of this study. At the end of the survey, there is an option to enter a prize draw to win one of ten £50 Love2Shop vouchers.
