The fourth English Veterans Awards will take place on the 21st September at the Village Hotel, Bristol.
Hosted by Radio X DJ, Polly James and sponsored by CXC Ltd it is another chance to recognise veterans in business, sport and the wider community, whilst showcasing the great things companies and reservists are also doing in support of the military family.
The 2022 English Veterans Awards
The team at the Veterans Awards add: “In England, we have a huge number of highly successful Armed Forces Veterans that have made the transition from the Military to civilian life we want to reward these veterans who have gone above and beyond and excelled in their relevant fields. They will act as role models for future service leavers. We want to find the people who even during the most difficult periods have excelled.
As such, we feel they should be given every opportunity to highlight their achievements and success, which is why the awards have been created.
The English Veterans Awards are open to all our Military Veterans that are doing great things in England, Reservists that are going above and beyond and those companies that go the extra mile to support or recruit from our community.”
The Veterans Awards team is headed up by Welsh Guards veteran, Sean Molino, who also covers the Welsh and Scottish Veterans Awards respectively.
Pathfinder editor, Mal Robinson, spoke to Sean ahead of the latest English Veterans Awards.
“We are on year 5 next year, which is fantastic and having sat down, what seems like all those years ago now, we are where we wanted to be. It has been a great journey so far, rewarding veterans and companies associated with the ex-military and military scene, yet we are always looking to improve and develop and we have some targets and ideas in mind for year 5, which I am happy to say are going in the right direction and I am very excited for the future” Sean beams.
It is safe to say, the Veterans Awards produced by Sean and his loyal team have a real community spirit around them and this is something Sean is keen to continue to instill.
“We are chuffed with what we have created so far and we are fortunate to have a number of organisations and businesses who have been there from the beginning and continue to support us each year moving forward. We have built a community around the events, so not only is there the awards evenings, but we include filming days, where the nominees get to tell their story, there are certificates for everyone nominated as everyone involved is a winner in our eyes and I know that is a well worn cliche, but it is true. We showcase them, we market them as winners, as far as their achievements go in the forces community, they are winners!”

The English Veterans Awards round off a South West double header for September, as the day before the first Troops into Transportation, Logistics and Engineering Event takes place at The REME Museum, MOD Lyneham, some 33 miles up the road from Bristol and the awards.
The specialist event is the first to solely take a look at the three sectors, which often overlap. The event takes place from 0930 to 1230 and is free to attend for serving personnel and ex-military.
