So you think you know the RAF? All 100 years of history? Think again!
For example, did you know the Spitfire was first named something rather less intimidating? Or do you know what the code word ‘angels’ refers to?
The RAF Benevolent Fund has launched a RAF100 quiz, featuring questions to test even the most knowledgeable aviation experts with multiple choice and true or false questions. Those who pass the test and answer all the questions correctly are given the opportunity to download one of a series of special edition commemorative posters.
A new set of questions will be posed each month on the Fund’s dedicated RAF100 website with next month’s featuring the Dambusters to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the infamous raid. The website also includes details of a century of support from the RAF Benevolent Fund to the RAF Family. The Fund has stood side by side and shoulder to shoulder with the RAF for 100 years and is determined to continue its mission for another century.
And if that’s not enough aviation history for you, check out the Fund’s Twitter channel where you will find aviation facts and trivia snippets to be shared.
