Job Description
Residential couple required from mid October 2021 to act as Caretaker and Porter for security, maintenance and general duties at the College of Arms in the City of London. Accommodation, one bed flat with services, is included within this Grade 1 Listed mansion building.
Usual weekday duties involve an all embracing range of maintenance and estate responsibilities including daily front of house duties,porterage, catering (by private arrangement), external cleaning, woodwork and decorating, security and fire alarm management, purchasing and ordering of supplies, supervision and escorting of tradespeople and contractors.
Successful candidates will be experienced, adaptable, flexible, hardworking, cooperative, discreet and willing to embrace the traditions and customs of the College of Arms.
Usual Hours: 35 per week each, residency required at night with compensating holiday arrangements.
Essential Requirements: Fluent English essential, proven competence in writing and arithmetic. No pets, no dependent children, non-smokers.
