The RAF Waddington Flying Club provides Private Pilots Licence (PPL) training up to National and European Joint Airworthiness Requirements (JAR) level. This includes all ground and flying tuition (including examinations) up to NVQ level 4. To enhance the licenses, training for night and Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC) is provided to enable competency in poor weather conditions. For increased experience and airmanship, Aerobatics training and differences training for Tail Wheel aircraft is available. The courses provided by the club give a necessary foundation for those seeking to go on and gain a Commercial Pilots License or Flying Instructor Rating elsewhere
