TICA and its specialist division, ACAD, are member-focused trade associations representing the insulation and asbestos sectors. They work to promote high standards, best practice and professionalism across the industry, while providing an influential voice for members with regulators, clients and key industry bodies. Through engagement with organisations such as Build UK, and links with the HSE and legislative bodies, TICA and ACAD support members to operate compliantly and credibly within a highly regulated environment.
A core focus of TICA and ACAD’s work is the delivery and management of training and competence across the insulation and asbestos industries. This includes the provision of industry-recognised training courses, remote and face-to-face delivery, qualifications and NVQs, and ongoing assessment and verification to ensure workforce competence. TICA and ACAD also administer skill cards as proof of competence, support access to CITB funding and grants, and maintain robust training, assessment and certification processes that meet audit and regulatory requirements. These services are designed to help develop a skilled, compliant workforce and demonstrate competence to clients and regulators.
