Prospect Hospice is the only dedicated end-of-life care service for the people living in the Swindon area – bringing care, comfort and confidence, around the clock, every day of the year.

The quality and appearance of the Hospice and our other sites, helps to create a great first impression for our patients and those most important to them. We are immensely proud of the high standards that we set, and achieve in all areas, including the maintenance of our buildings. As our Contracts Manager you will be responsible for delivering the full property maintenance portfolio, including management of all internal property maintenance and external property maintenance contracts, for all our sites to ensure the smooth running, delivery and quality of all facilities services.

A key part of the role will be to manage contractors and the full contractual relationships, you will ensure that standards are kept high, and that the team understand, and strive for the same exceptional results. You will need to make sure all of this is done with the upmost sensitivity to all of our service users. You will also be responsible for reporting to the CQC commission and risk assessments and management of risk for your areas.

In addition, you will manage the facilities team as well as volunteers so previous experience managing and developing a team is essential.

What we’d like from you:

  • Track record of successful delivery in planned and preventative maintenance systems
  • Significant experience of contract management experience, ideally within a charity, health or commercial organisation
  • Track record of successful outcomes managing budgets and delivering against financial targets
  • Committed, enthusiastic, and able to use own initiative
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
  • Positive interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to get the best from your team
  • Flexibility and a strong ‘can do’ attitude
  • Innovative approach with empathy for our values and goals

A full UK driving licence is required for this role.
