Veterans’ Charity Launches Own Lottery

A hand holding a blue marker writes the word "WINNER" in large letters, underlining it with pride, as if announcing a lottery result that benefits veterans' charities.

Worthing-based charity, Care for Veterans, has launched its own lottery to help raise vital funds towards the care and rehabilitation of disabled veterans…

The Care for Veterans Lottery can be played from as little as £4 a month, which gives you four chances of winning and you could win £200 a month!

Head of Fundraising and Marketing at Care for Veterans, Elizabeth Baxter, explains: “We decided to set up our own lottery so there are no administration costs and so players can be confident that more of their money will go directly to the care of our veterans.

“After the prize money is given out, the rest goes to pay for vital care and rehabilitation of our veterans at a time when they are facing the toughest battle of their lives. We know that £200 and the other cash prizes aren’t life-changing amounts like on some other lotteries, but our players have a much higher chance of winning some cash.”

Care for Veterans provides long-term residential nursing care, rehabilitation, respite and end of life care to physically disabled ex-Service personnel. The charity specialises in caring for those with brain injuries and neurological conditions, and this year, celebrates its centenary.

By playing the Care for Veterans Lottery, you will be helping veterans regain limb mobility in physiotherapy, find their voice through speech therapy and re-learn everyday skills such as cooking and washing, enabling them to live with the independence, confidence and dignity they deserve.
