Further to the announcement of the Chair of the Independent Panel, Lord Paddick, on 10 February, the Minister for Veterans and People is pleased to announce the appointment of the LGBT Financial Recognition Scheme Independent Panel Members.
The Independent Panel members are:
- Alison Brown OBE
- Frances Castle MBE
- Dr Matthew Gould
- Hannah Graf MBE
- Craig Jones MBE
- Caroline Paige MBE
- Annabel Poate-Joyner
- Emma Riley
Their appointments commenced on 15 May 2025 and will run until 14 May 2027. The panel have been appointed as Direct Ministerial Appointments, and their Terms of Reference have been published at Annex B.
The LGBT Financial Recognition Scheme Independent Panel will be responsible for reviewing and making fair and equitable determinations on applications for an LGBT Impact Payment.
The Independent Panel will sit as the Chair plus four Independent Panel members, except in exceptional circumstances.
