Armed Forces Expo Colchester – A Review

The 8th Armed Forces & Veterans Resettlement Expo took place on Thursday October 27 at the Jobserve Community Stadium, the home of Colchester United Football Club.

A magazine rack holds multiple copies of “Pathfinder” featuring King Charles III in ceremonial attire, with the title and UK flag visible—highlighting themes of resettlement for Army and Royal Navy personnel.

The event was once again a great success with many serving personnel and veterans taking up the offer of a chance to network with recruiters, ELCAS training providers and advice in general on the day.

One of the highlights of the event was Essex Police and their team of sniffer dogs, armed response unit and forensic investigations unit, who were on standby to inform attendees on the various roles on offer to service leavers within the force.

A forensic investigation van, police tape, evidence markers, and a chalk outline are set up at a crime scene on a paved area outside a building, as part of the Pathfinder resettlement program for Royal Navy personnel.

Pathfinder editor, Mal Robinson said: “the feedback so far from attendees on the day, both serving and ex-military has been fantastic and makes such events worthwhile in producing.

I’d like to extend my thanks to our main sponsor, NEBOSH, our exhibitors and attendees for their support for this event. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Colchester United Football Club for their support and help in putting on the expo – good luck for the rest of the season!”
