There’s not long to go until the 6th Armed Forces & Veterans Resettlement Expo taking place at The King’s Centre, Oxford on Thursday April 21 from 09:30 – 12:30.

Anyone from the forces community is welcome be they serving personnel wanting to network, serving personnel contemplating resettlement, service personnel in resettlement, ex-military looking to network, ex-military looking at a new career, military spouses or partners looking at employment opportunities and families – after all it is half term!

Here we take a look at another of over 30 exhibitors present on the day with a focus on 4624 Squadron RAF Reserves.

4624 Squadron

4624 Squadron is based at RAF Brize Norton and as a specialist movements unit provides fully trained reservists to support the RAF on worldwide operations.

Personnel accept, prepare and load passengers and cargo for worldwide distribution on military and charter aircraft, working on main bases and travelling on aircraft in mobile teams alongside regular movers wherever they are tasked.

Enlistment is between the ages of 18 and 54 and personnel can serve until 60. The minimum commitment is 27 days a year and previous trade experience is not required. Daily rates of pay and an annual tax-free bounty up to £1,900 are payable, with promotion available and access to excellent sports and adventurous training opportunities.
