The Officers’ Association is currently conducting a research project on the employment barriers and challenges to older Service leavers for which they are running group discussions…
They are looking for employers to contribute to their best practice focus group (open to employers who already have policies in place to employ ex-serving personnel) to explore their attitudes and experiences of recruiting and managing Ex-Service Armed Forces Personnel, leaving the Forces at the age of 50 and older.
The focus group will take place on the 25th of October at the Officers’ Association Headquarters, SW1W 9RB. The session will start at 09:30 am and last for approximately 1 hour, plus some time for a complimentary breakfast. The Officers’ Association will also pay reasonable travel expenses (please contact s.doneva@officersassociation.org.uk for more details).
These group discussions are being run by the Officers’ Association, in partnership with Forces in Mind Trust and The Centre for Research into the Older Workforce.

For the group discussion to be a success, between 6 and 10 people are needed to take part. The Officers’ Association very much hope you can attend and look forward to hearing your story.
