What you’ll be doing:

  • Fly the aircraft safely in accordance with all aspects of the Company Operations Manual & complete all administrative duties in relation to each flight
  • Maintain familiarity with such provisions of the Company Operations Manuals
  • Maintain familiarity with relevant European, United Kingdom and International air legislation and agreed aviation practices and procedures
  • Leads and guides in resolving complex issues and is identified as serving best practice in the field
  • As a small dynamic flight department you will get the chance to be involved with supporting the wider team to develop expertise & supporting with opportunities for growth of these services as well as helping with supporting activities that are vital to the safe and efficient operation of the airline

Your skills and experiences:

  • Experienced captain able to meet the required standards in our company pilot competencies:-
  • Knowledge of airline operations to ensure our high safety standards are maintained
  • Hold a UK CAA Airline Transport Pilots Licence to include an Instrument Rating
  • Have a minimum of 3500 flying hours to include Multi Pilot Transport Time
  • Have a minimum of 1000 hours command time on a multi-crew aircraft
  • Minimum 12 months flight recency
  • Embraer 135/145 Type Rating desirable although a Type Rating Course can be offered to a candidate with the relevant experience

The Corporate Air Travel team:

Our Corporate Air Travel team are a distinguished commercial air operator within BAE Systems, providing reliable and bespoke domestic and international passenger and freight services. Operating a small fleet of Embraer aircraft, CAT is dedicated to delivering excellence in aviation to support the broader business operations of BAE Systems. CAT holds a UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) issued Air Operator Certificate (AOC), ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational performance. Additionally, the organisation is approved under the UK CAA’s Approved Training Organisation (ATO) Light framework, demonstrating a commitment to rigorous pilot training and professional development. Our team is a close-knit group of 55 professionals, embodying a collaborative and supportive workplace culture. This includes 11 skilled Embraer pilots and 7 experienced cabin crew, all working together to ensure a seamless and enjoyable passenger experience while maintaining operational excellence.
