London Remembers WW1

Join us for "London Remembers WW1" on September 1, 2018, at 10:30 am. Witness a distinguished military parade featuring Chelsea Pensioners and London Units alongside Royal Navy veterans. Free entry. Location: Burton Court, SW3 4SR.

Join the Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association for Greater London at a unique event as they commemorate the end of WW1 and the involvement of the London formations in the final Hundred Days Offensive…

On 1st September the day will begin with a parade along the famous King’s Road where the Chelsea Pensioners will exercise their Freedom of the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. They will be joined by representatives of London’s Maritime Reserves, The Royal Yeomanry, The London Regiment, 600 Squadron RAuxAF and the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry.

Following the parade, Burton Court will play host to the uniformed young people from the member organisations of YOU London (Youth Organisations in Uniform). Each organisation will have a display stand reflecting on the lessons of WW1. There will also be an opportunity for members of the general public to learn more about each organisation and take part in fun, family friendly activities out more here.
