Cambridge UAV Academy (CUAVA) is a Full National Qualified Entity (NQE) under the UK Civil Aviation Authority.
CUAVA was established to train and qualify private UAV pilots to a CAA approved level of competency and certify them as such, allowing these pilots to progress towards operating commercially under a CAA issued Permission for Commercial Operation (PfCO).
CUAVA has an enviable reputation of cooperation with the Police, Emergency Services and Military of the UK and other countries in Europe having trained or operated in consultancy with groups keen to exploit the use of UAV’s for survey, investigation or analysis.
Cambridge UAV, Sister company to CUAVA have worked alongside Police and Fire services providing a ready to deploy service with the emerging technology of Drones.
One of CUAVA’s first clients was the Police, training officers from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Met Police and Counter Terrorism. The Academy has also trained the Fire and Rescue Services as well as Military personnel returning back to civilian occupations.
Our practical approach to training the services has won favour from the operators who leave with a sense of confidence after our industry specific practical tests.
“An outstanding course delivered enthusiastically and effectively by professionals in the field. Features alongside the very best courses I completed over a long career as a Royal Navy aircraft engineer. I not only feel safer when flying my UAV but have gained the confidence and pre-requisites to launch my own business!!”
