Meridian Training Academy is based in Hull, East Yorkshire but we train all around the UK…
Most of our staff are experienced, current, front line A&E clinicians working for the NHS or private ambulance services. And there are a few of us that are ex-armed forces to.
We specialise in Pre-Hospital Care courses but also deliver a vast selection of other first aid courses from basic to advanced. These courses include the Qualsafe Pre-Hospital Care range of FREC courses:
- FREC 3 – Patient Transport Service
- FREC 4 – Emergency Care Assistant (working on a front-line ambulance with a clinical practitioner)
- FREC 5 – Ambulance Technician (frontline ambulance work)
The FREC range of courses are suitable for those wishing to pursue a career within the NHS or private ambulance services, they are recognised by the SIA, so are suitable for working in the security industry, they’re great if you want to work on events or within heavy industry. These courses are more in depth, higher educational level and better quality than the old FPOS route.
On completion of the FREC level 5 course you will be eligible to enrol for the Diploma in Paramedic Practice which, upon successful completion of both the Diploma and the clinical practice hours will give you the opportunity to register as a Paramedic in the UK with the HCPC.
Being a Qualsafe registered centre means you get good high quality support and recognition, and the assurance you’ve been trained by highly educated and knowledgeable instructors, and Qualsafe is the largest first aid Awarding Organisation in the UK.
Apart from offering Qualsafe courses we are also able to deliver other types of training such as Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), Major Incident Medical Management and Support (MIMMS) and the Difficult Airway Course. Meridian Training Academy can also run a vast array of HSE and manual handling courses.
