On Saturday 24th March, Blind Veterans UK will be hosting the Liverpool Fire Walk Challenge, a 15 feet walk over hot coals…
The coals will reach temperatures of 1200 degrees Fahrenheit, 100 degrees more than it takes to melt aluminium.
Victoria Beech, Regional Fundraiser for Blind Veterans UK, says: “We love offering our supporters new and exciting ways in which they can fundraise for our charity. To that point, what could be more exciting than crossing a smouldering bed of hot coals!”
Participants will receive an hour’s worth of training from UK Fire Walk, a company run by Scott Bell, who’s twice held the Guinness World Record for greatest fire walking distance.
The Liverpool Fire Walk Challenge is taking place on Saturday 24th March at Pier Head. Registration costs £10, with discounted group and family rates available. There is a minimum sponsorship pledge of £100. Participants must be eight years and over.
Tickets can be pre-booked by calling 01492 864574 or emailing victoria.beech@blindveterans.org.uk
