MoneyForce, a service that provides money advice to military personnel, their partners, families and dependants, is celebrating its fifth birthday…
MoneyForce is funded and delivered by The Royal British Legion in partnership with the Ministry of Defence. It is designed to better equip the serving community to manage their money and financial affairs.
MoneyForce has launch a new tool – The GoalSaver: Holiday Planner – which helps users plan for a holiday by working out how much it will cost in total based on their requirements, how much they will need to save, and by when.
The MoneyForce website has seen 1.5 million hits, 500k individual users, and a 100k people use its interactive personalised tools since it was launched on the 12th March 2013.
Members of the MoneyForce team have also presented live to over 12,000 UK Service people, from Health and Transition Fairs, to briefings across the length and breadth of the UK and to troops stationed in Germany.
David Watts, Head of Commissioned Services at The Royal British Legion, comments: “The unique nature of Service life, such as regular relocation and deployment can make financial management particularly difficult for those in the Armed Forces community.
“MoneyForce has been designed specifically to address this issue and over the last five years, it has helped thousands of Service personnel and their families to better manage their finances. We look forward to continuing this important work and further developing the service.”
Some of the content on MoneyForce is provided by the Money Advice Service, an independent organisation set up by the Government to help people make the most of their money.
