The Officers Association (OA), trusted experts in the transition space for serving and former officers, brings together key employers, industry experts and OA network contacts and supporters to provide a day of networking, industry expertise and insight for those in transition.
We supplement our trusted formula of networking and speaker programme with smaller break-out sessions, hosted by specific industry experts, designed to deliver tailored insight and know-how about these specific industries. Sessions will vary from consultancy and facilities management to working in the not for profit sector and are designed to enable you to learn about the industries and subject that interest you. There will be opportunities to hear directly from fellow officers who have already transitioned successfully.
Topics include: Plenary sessions – leadership, skills translation, LinkedIn Breakout sessions – healthcare, facilities management, financial services, not for profit plus others still to be confirmed. Choose two breakout sessions that you would like to book a place for but please note places are limited and we may not be able to guarantee your first choice, so please reserve a third option.
Who should attend?
For officers: This one-day event will equip you with the latest advice and knowledge you need to approach and/or continue your transition journey with confidence. You can engage with employers who are actively recruiting and hear directly from those who have successfully transitioned; understand their hurdles and how they overcame them. There will also be an opportunity to network over lunch.
For employers: An opportunity to engage with job seekers who are in the process of transitioning from the military, or those who may have already transitioned and may be looking for their next role. Meet with other employers who have set up successful ex-military recruitment campaigns; understand the steps they took and the programmes they put in place to make it happen. Join us for the whole day or just for the networking opportunities over lunch.
The Symposium will take place from 10:00 – 16:30, with registration opening at 09:30. Networking will take place during the lunchbreak.
