Paratroopers Presented With Afghanistan Medals

Members of 2nd Battalion The Parachute Regiment stood to attention for a medals parade.

Paratroopers have been presented with medals in recognition of their service on operations in Afghanistan. A socially-distanced parade was held at Merville Barracks, Colchester today (Fri 23 Oct) to present medals to soldiers from B Company, 2nd Battalion The Parachute Regiment who deployed on Operation Toral between October 2019 and April 2020.

Based at Camp Qargha in the Afghan capital Kabul, B Coy’s paratroopers protected NATO military and civilian advisors supporting training at the Afghan National Army Officers’ Academy.
