Remedy Healthcare partnership offers tailored rehabilitation support for veterans in civilian employment

Veterans Welfare Group has launched a new partnership with Remedy Healthcare to offer specialist rehabilitation support to veterans and service leavers with musculoskeletal conditions. The collaboration aims to complement the charity’s existing employment pathway by helping veterans not only move into work but manage their health once in post.

Delivered through Veterans Welfare Group’s BeyondDuty+ programme, the partnership will give former Armed Forces personnel access to clinical rehabilitation supported by employers.

Clinical support informed by military experience

Remedy Healthcare provides consultant-led services for complex conditions such as limb loss, fractures, chronic pain, and recovery from burns or plastic surgery. Its team includes specialists in rehabilitation medicine, physiotherapy, psychology and occupational therapy, many of whom have served in or worked alongside the Armed Forces.

Dr Ian McCurdie, Chair of Remedy Healthcare and former consultant at DMRC Headley Court, said: “Our team understands the interplay between physical, psychological and social challenges faced by former Service personnel. We’re pleased to support veterans through this new partnership.”

Veterans Welfare Group CEO Alex Demetrious-Seymour added: “This collaboration strengthens our commitment to ensuring veterans receive appropriate rehabilitation during their transition to civilian life.”

Employer-funded veteran support through BeyondDuty+

BeyondDuty+ is a subscription service offered to employers who wish to provide structured health support for veteran employees. The package includes online assessments, access to resources, and in-person review days.

Employers funding the programme are able to offer their veteran staff practical rehabilitation options, with the aim of supporting long-term retention and health in the workplace.

Georgina Davies, Rehabilitation and Partnerships Lead at Veterans Welfare Group, said: “Remedy brings both clinical expertise and a clear understanding of military life. By working together, we can offer support that reflects the reality of veterans’ health needs during and after transition.”
