The Language and Learning Centre offers a course in teaching English as a foreign language (cert. TESOL) which is validated by Trinity College London. The course is intended for native English speakers, who are graduates (or candidates with equivalent qualifications) and are intending to teach English as a Foreign Language to adults. It is an intensive 30 day programme which looks at the practical and theoretical aspects of English language teaching and includes observed teaching practice. The courses take place in July and August each year.
