Light aircraft, CAA Approved, Flight Training Organisation, inspected regularly to ensure that the highest professional standards are maintained. Herefordshire Aero Club runs the following courses: PPL, LAPL, Ground School, IMC rating, Night Rating, Instructor training & commercial hour building. Aircraft types; Cessna 152 and Piper PA 28 Archer II
EASA PPL (A) - a minimum of 45 hours flying training, including 25 hours dual flight instruction, 10 hours of supervised solo, 5 hours of which must be cross-country flights.
The syllabus includes exercises covering aircraft familiarisation, climbing, descending, turning, slow flight and practising take-off and landings, culminating in your first solo.
Steep turns, emergency drill and instrument flying lead on to dual and solo navigational tasks.
Practical tests in navigation and general handling.
Night Rating - 5 hours flying (minimum requirement) together with membership and landing fees.
