Keele University provides a wide range of higher education courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The various disciplines are structured within three faculties: Humanities & Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Medicine & Health Sciences. At undergraduate level a high proportion are combined honours degrees, combining two principal subjects. There is also professional training for doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and social workers. At postgraduate level many courses can be studied full-time, part-time or by module. Many postgraduate courses and modules are designed for employed professionals seeking opportunities for continuing professional development - doctors, teachers, social workers, and others working in the public sector. Modes of study are developed taking this into account. This includes a number of 100% online Master's degrees. Other postgraduate courses are designed to develop skills within an academic discipline. The University also offers a variety of apprenticeships, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, across different sectors and specialisms. The University also offers supervision for research degrees in most subject areas.
