The University of Southampton is an internationally ranked institution providing a wide range of study and research opportunities. The University is know particularly for its education and research in Engineering, the Sciences and Medicine but also offers programmes covering a broad range of subjects in the Arts, Humanities and Management. It's School of Education has a long association with the Services. The University has in total more than 20,000 students enrolled in programmes ranging from undergraduate degrees, through post-graduate certificates and 'masters' degrees to research based doctorates. Programmes are delivered in one of the 20 specialist Schools of the University.
