The University of St Andrews offers a broadly based higher education and a wide choice of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Arts, Divinity Medicine and Science. The University has a reputation for scholarship, teaching and research, which consistently places it amongst the top ten UK institutes of higher education.
The University operates a modular undergraduate degree system characterised by breadth and flexibility of study, especially within the first two years. Although students apply for a specific degree programme, admission is to a Faculty, where students initially study several different subjects prior to focusing on their specialised choice of subjects for the final two years of the honours programme. Study may, normally, be undertaken full or part-time.
A range of taught and research postgraduate programmes is also offered by the University supported by scholars of international repute within an institution with a world-class reputation for teaching and research.
