The University of St Mark & St John (Plymouth Marjon) is an independent university with a distinguished history in higher education covering 175 years, relocating to Plymouth from London in 1973. Today, we run over 100 programmes on a full-time and part-time basis, which all place a high emphasis on being relevant to the labour market, providing learners with the relevant transferable skills in demand from employers and business. In many cases, courses include the option of achieving industry-recognised qualifications so that our learners leave Marjon not only with a Higher Education qualification, but also relevant practical skills recognised by industry. Marjon has a strong widening participation agenda, which means that we are keen to work with individuals who may not have accessed Higher Education at 18 but who have valuable work experience which can be accredited and given university credit.
