York College & University Centre is the largest further education provider in the region, serving over 7,000 students annually 1 2. The College offers an extensive range of educational services, including 40 A Level subjects, more than 70 vocational and T Level courses, and 30 apprenticeship programmes 1. Its University Centre provides flexible degree and higher-level study options, while adult learners benefit from accredited professional courses, business-focused training, and leisure-based short courses 2.
York College is recognised for its modern facilities, rebuilt in 2007 as part of a £60 million redevelopment, and its commitment to excellence. The College also works with over 1,000 employers, supporting apprenticeship recruitment and bespoke training and we are a proud signatory of The Armed Forces Covenant.
Guided by core values of Ambition, Care, Respect, and Success, York College offers a vibrant learning environment with state-of-the-art resources, including engineering workshops, a theatre, and professional salons. It is also a member of the Yorkshire & Humber Institute of Technology, and was among the first to pilot T Level courses in the UK
