The Family Support Programme supports naval families of serving personnel by breaking down the barriers to seeking support, wherever they live and whoever they are, enabling them to access confidential emotional and practical aid.

The programme also aims to improve the lives of children and young people within naval families by providing access to activity events and experiences, as well as support for young carers throughout the year.

The RNRMC continues to work closely with charities such as Royal Navy Family and People Support (RN FPS), the Kings Active Foundation and KIDS to bring this crucial work to life.

Through this valuable programme, children and young people have the opportunity to attend the Kings Active Foundation camps and activity and leadership residential courses, helping them to overcome isolation using the tool of accessible, affordable and inclusive sport activity.

The new KIDS Digital Hub and additional comprehensive support offer for SEND, including young carers, really champions opportunities for all, whilst also improving mental health and wellbeing.

Mandy Harding, Head of Commissioned Grants at the RNRMC, said: “We are extremely grateful to the Wimbledon Foundation for their generous grant. The funding has provided much needed support for naval children and their families, as well as opportunities to continue to understand evolving needs and adapt our activities accordingly.

“We have ambitious targets to continue to offer these and similar opportunities which ensure ongoing support for our beneficiaries. We would once again like to thank the Wimbledon Foundation for its continued support and consideration of the important work of the RNRMC.”
