The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) has opened applications for a new funding programme aimed at supporting working-age veterans as they move into civilian life.
The Transition and Support for Working-Age Veterans funding window will offer one-year grants ranging from £1,000 to £30,000 for organisations working with Royal Navy and Royal Marines veterans. The funding is intended to support practical, innovative projects that help veterans navigate the challenges of life after service.
RNRMC said the programme recognises that leaving the Armed Forces can present difficulties around employment, finances, wellbeing and social connection, particularly once the initial transition period has passed.
Focus on long-term transition support
The charity is seeking applications from organisations delivering support in areas such as financial capability, peer and community networks, family and relationship support, and longer-term post-transition help. Projects do not need to cover every theme and may focus on one or more areas, depending on identified need.
Applicants will need to demonstrate a clear benefit to veterans, evidence of demand, and a well-structured delivery plan, including how impact will be measured. Successful organisations will also be required to provide two reports during the grant period.
Key dates
Applications close on 12 January 2026, with funding decisions expected by 23 March 2026. Projects must begin after 1 April 2026.
The fund is open to organisations supporting Royal Navy and Royal Marines veterans and is intended to complement existing provision by backing new or expanded approaches to transition support.
Further information and application details are available directly from RNRMC. Organisations with questions about eligibility or the process can contact the charity’s grants team.
