Soldiers Will Be Told They Can Serve Until 65, According To Reports

According to a report in the Daily Mail, soldiers will now be told they can serve in position until they are 65-years old.

The article states the MOD is keen to keep “an army of veterans” so as not to lose their expert knowledge. People specialising in sectors such as intelligence and engineering will be able to serve past the standard 22 years service.

The article includes a quote from an army source stating: “if someone wants to stay and they have a particular niche skill set then why wouldn’t we want them?”

If you are serving will you be looking to stay in? If you have left the military, would you have been keen to stay in longer?
