The RAF Association in collaboration with Loughborough University is delighted to have received funding from the AFCFT to deliver six more Veterans’ Resilience Programme courses in 2024/25.
What is the Veterans’ Resilience Programme?
A 2-day residential course at Loughborough University’s world class facilities. The course content includes physical activities and wellbeing workshops to strengthen veterans social, physical, and physiological resilience. Participants take part in a range of activities, led by experts in developing resilience and enhancing health and wellbeing. Topics explored during the course include nutrition, improving sleep quality, social and psychological resilience, and physical activity.
At the end of the course participants will have a plan of action to help sustain the improvements they have made, including an opportunity to attend a follow-up meeting with other programme participants. More information about the course can be found on the website.
Who can attend?
All military veterans from the Midlands and surrounding areas, who have experienced or are experiencing mental wellbeing challenges are invited to attend the Veterans’ Resilience Programme.
When is the course?
The first course is scheduled for 7th and 8th September 2024, with further dates available in 2025.
What does it cost?
The course is free for veterans to attend. All food, accommodation and activities are provided as part of the course.
