Researching Veteran Fathers’ & Kids’ Mental Health

An adult and child are walking barefoot on a sandy beach, the fog in the background creating a serene setting. It's a perfect moment for reflecting on kids' mental health, as their bonding time mirrors insights from researching how veteran fathers nurture resilience.

The Centre for Veterans’ Health at King Edward VII’s Hospital in London is carrying out research into the relationship between the mental health of veteran fathers and the mental health of their children…

The work is being done in collaboration with University College London and the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families. They want to understand more about the important father-child relationship, so they can develop more effective ways to help veterans who are struggling with their mental health while also trying to raise their children.

They need organisations to help recruit veterans to complete questionnaires online, either by emailing veterans in your databases or by including information about the study in any member newsletters you send out.
