The annual Armed Forces Covenant Conference will return in June 2026, bringing together organisations from across the military and civilian sectors to share best practice and prepare for upcoming policy changes.
The two-day event will be held at Portsmouth Guildhall on 23 and 24 June, with registration open until 1 May.
Organised as a free national conference, the event will convene representatives from across the Armed Forces community, including charities, local authorities, devolved governments and central government departments.

This year’s conference will focus on preparing organisations for the extension of the Armed Forces Covenant Legal Duty, which will require public bodies to give greater consideration to the needs of service personnel, veterans and their families.
Delegates will hear a keynote address from Louise Sandher-Jones, alongside panel discussions, breakout sessions and opportunities to hear directly from members of the Armed Forces community.
The programme will also include updates on initiatives such as the VALOUR network, as well as sessions aimed at helping organisations understand their responsibilities under the expanded Covenant framework.
The event will run from 08:30 to 16:30 on 23 June, followed by a networking reception, and from 08:30 to 14:00 on 24 June.
Organisers said the conference aims to provide a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing and preparation ahead of the legal changes, with hundreds of delegates expected to attend.
