This year, the National Armed Forces Day event will be held in Llandudno in Conwy County on Saturday 30 June 2018. The events will be a fantastic focal point for the UK to come together to acknowledge the hard work and sacrifice of those that serve.

Tickets are available now for the Gala Dinner and include a drinks reception, three course dinner including wine followed by a raffle and auction. Tickets can be bought as individual reservations or as tables of ten with proceeds of the evening going to SSAFA.

Sir Andrew Gregory, Chief Executive, SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, said: “SSAFA is delighted to be working with Conwy County Borough Council as a Charity Partner for Armed Forces Day, the annual nationwide celebration of the entire military community, including being the official host of the prestigious Gala Dinner on the 29th June.

“As a charity who has supported the Armed Forces community since 1885 and which assisted over 67,600 people last year alone, we are pleased to be at the heart of an event which gives the opportunity for the public to show their support and appreciation for serving members of the Armed Forces, veterans and their families. We are very proud to be associated with the official celebrations.”

Conwy County Borough Council are passionate about the UK Armed Forces Day being a catalyst for further embedding the work the Council does within the Armed Forces Covenant.

Cllr Liz Roberts, Armed Forces Champion, Conwy County Borough Council, said: “I’m really proud and excited that Llandudno has been chosen as the host town for the UK Armed Forces Day, and we’re certainly going to make it a day to remember.

“But a number of other special events are to take place around the official day, equally as important highlighting our thanks and appreciation of our serving personnel and veterans, which it why it’s so fitting that SSAFA be our chosen partner to work with Conwy on the Gala Dinner.

“It’s a perfect opportunity to raise awareness of the Charity whilst having an enjoyable evening celebrating and thanking serving personnel and veterans”
