The ADVANCE study is a ground-breaking research programme investigating the long-term physical and psychosocial health outcomes of military personnel injured in Afghanistan between 2003-2014…
The study involves a day visit to DMRC Stanford Hall, Loughborough, for a health MOT at 6 different time points across 20 years. Travel and accommodation costs are reimbursed, and participants receive £100 per visit as a thank you.
The organisers would like to invite UK Armed Forces personnel to take part who have been selected by Defence Statistics and fit the following essential criteria:
- Male
- Aged under 50 when deployed to Afghanistan
- Aeromedically evacuated from theatre directly to a UK hospital OR matched for age, rank and role in theatre with somebody who was aeromedically evacuated
This is the last chance to take part as it is hoped that the final 200 participants will be seen by early 2020.
