Breaking News:

In an update from our earlier news post on the amazing total amassed by World War 2 Veteran Captain Tom Moore’s 100th Birthday walk for charity, we can now confirm the fundraising total has now raised over £4M.

Initially, the idea was to raise just £1,000 for the NHS charity – NHS Charities Together as a mark of thanks from the former WW2 Captain. This total quickly rose to £850,000 at the start of today (Tuesday), rising to over £1M by early morning, smashing £2M in the afternoon, then £3.5M by late evening, eventually surpassing the £4M mark late tonight. This is a whopping 805% increase on the original target.

It is an incredible feat achieved by the 99-year old veteran who is aiming to walk a hundred lengths of his garden in time for his 100th birthday at the end of April.

Now the question on everyone’s lips is just how far can the fundraising figure reach?

The £5M projection is now firmly in sight.
