The St. John and Red Cross Defence Medical Welfare Service (DMWS) are looking to appoint a Welfare Manager, based in Germany

The St. John and Red Cross Defence Medical Welfare Service (DMWS) is a charitable Company. It provides hospital welfare services to members of the Armed Forces, their dependants and certain entitled civilians in hospitals in the UK, Germany, and Cyprus and on deployment in operational theatres (eg Afghanistan).

An experienced, resilient manager with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills is required to join DMWS. Reporting to the senior management team of a well established and respected organization you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to work closely and effectively with your colleagues and departmental teams, the MoD, other external support agencies and Service patients & families.

The successful applicant will initially be required to work from an office location within Germany and to undertake regular travel within Germany, Cyprus and the UK to liaise with DMWS staff and British Military personnel.

Starting salary of £35,430.00, 30 days paid annual leave and up to 6% matching pension contributions is available on successful completion of probation period. Note that this is a uniformed position, uniform allowance is provided. The successful applicant will be required to be security vetted and CRB cleared at enhanced level prior to taking up the post.
